chapter 1 summary = maniac magee lived in a house a ordinary house right across a river in bridgeport.his parents left him with a babysitter and the P & W high speed trolley into the city .on the way back home and the P & W had a famous crash . he asnt actualy named maniac magee his actual name was Jeffery Lionel Magee .and maniac magee moved in with his aunt and uncle when he was only 3 years old. pretty soon there was double of every thing in maniac magees aunt and uncles house.
chapter 3 summary = this girl named amanda was on the east side of town and was very curious why maniac magee was on the east side ......and was woundering why he was white.Amanda carried a suitcase filled with books for school and maniac thought she was running away.amanda was goin to be late for school for the first time in years and maniac magee did not understand that.maniac asked for a book and she said no there mine but he all he wanted to do was borrow it.
chapter 35 summary = giant john had to be convinced that maniac was not kidnapping his brothers.at the little league field the next day ..he was lucky that all they did was throw fastballs .because he wasnt ready to reveal his secret pitch.and so maniac was invited to accompany the brothers mcnab to their home .the first thing he saw was a yellow short haired mongrel looking innocently up at him while taking a leak in the middle of the living room floor.maniac found a stack of newspapers in a corner .he laid some over the puddle to soak in .
